This is a very long day but worth it to see the ruins. There were plenty of opportunities for snacks and food and restroom breaks. There is a lot of walking involved so be ready for that. Very fun day!!

Wonderful experience! I was hesitant about the 1 day round trip from Antigua and back, however had already booked hotel reservations in Antigua and still wanted to somehow fit in a Tikal during this trip. It was a lengthy travel day, however manageable and all my daughter and I had to do was show up and everything was taken care of from the drivers, airline tickets, shuttles, tour group and lunch. We covered quite a bit of ground within the park and had enough time to explore on our own. We were in the park From 9am-1pm on a Friday in August and it was not crowded. I was actually surprised at the lack of crowds. The guide Luis was incredible, a true treasure to the park. He is proud of the site, very knowledgeable and you can see that bringing visitors also brings him joy as he shares it. He communicated to our group in Italian, Spanish & English. Our driver Oscar was steady, safe, efficient & hilarious. Really happy with this experience.

We spend the majority of the day exploring the stunning Mayan ruins in the jungle. We did a lot of walking and made sure we had plenty of water with us. If you want to see the sites from the top of the temples, you will have to climb a lot of steep staircases, but the views are more than worth it. We had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant thank God that truck ride back to the parking lot. Overall, a great experience.

This is a long day! Take snacks, mosquito repellent (they sell some there at Tikal too), sunblock, poncho and water. Make sure you eat breakfast at the restaurant next door at Flores airport when you land. They’ll give you about 30 min. And the food is decent enough to hold you over. You won’t be eating until lunchtime. The tour itself was fine, the food was great at the restaurant El Meson, very fresh and delicious. The guide Luis was knowledgeable and straight to the point. My first complaint s is that there was a family of 4 with two very young children whom the driver kept showing preference / priority over. He made us sit in the very back twice when the family could have also sat in the back. He then told them they could recline their seats to which we had little to no leg room and my husband had to ask them not to recline as the seat hit his knees when they did recline. No apology from either the driver or the couple either. He only gave them his WhatsApp and asked them to communicate with him when we were getting on the flight back. On top of that the parents were not parenting and letting their kids do as they please. From the moment we got picked up at 3 am til the moment we arrived back at our hotel at 10 pm, the kids were loud and the parents did little to ask them to behave. On the tour in Tikal the kids ran after the wild animals and tried to grab them, even after the tour guide said it was dangerous, they touched plants without knowing if it was poisonous or not and would walk off without their parents even though the tour guide said there was a jaguar sighted a few days ago that could have killed a women who was taking a video. Then to top it off the parents decided to put a show on during lunch so loud that another visitor came over and asked them to please lower the very loud volume. The parents did and 5 min later returned the phone back to the volume it was at, we at that point had to ask them to please lower it as it was bothering us and another lady on the tour. My other complaint is that the airport Flores really needs to have more flight options back to Guatemala City or Antigua. Once you pass TSA the airport gets better. There is only one store once in the terminal and it’s a little more expensive than the one before TSA. Also pray you don’t get caught on a rain storm because the airport will loose power and your flight will be delayed like our experience. At the end I don’t feel the juice was worth the squeeze on this one.

This tour was great except . Tour was over by 3 and we were back at airport and our flight wasn’t until 9pm. Earlier flights back our needed especially since it’s an our drive back to Antigua Other than that our tour guide was knowledgeable. The ruins and park are amazing

What an experience. It was amazing. The guide was extremely knowledgeable. He made a very hot day a pleasure. Saw Toucans, Spider and Howler monkeys and other wildlife. The extend of the Mayan ruins far exceeded what we expected to see. Great day.

From booking until the end, this trip was absolutely wonderful! The company was very communicative so that we knew exactly what to expect. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of Tikal as well as the history of the people. We saw coatli, crocodile, howler monkeys, spider monkeys, and a variety of birds. The included lunch was delicious and felt like a great reward after all that hiking! The only suggestion I have for improvement is to provide more details about the pick up from the airport, although when we asked questions the company was immediately responsive in giving us answers. Absolutely would recommend!
